Capturing Joy: Busta the Maltese Terrier’s Unforgettable Photoshoot
At ME Pet Photography, we believe every pet deserves to have their story told through beautiful, heartfelt images — and Busta the Maltese Terrier is the perfect example. In 2023, we had the pleasure of photographing 15-year-old Busta alongside his pals Timmy the Chihuahua x Pomeranian and Millie the French Bulldog.
Busta was truly a special boy. Though he faced challenges — deafness, blindness, and arthritis — his vibrant spirit was impossible to miss. This sweet senior loved people and was a bit of a goofball, always keeping us smiling during the shoot. With the help of his devoted owner and a few tricks to engage his sense of smell, we were able to guide his attention towards the camera, capturing his joyful personality in every shot. His photos radiate warmth, silliness, and an undeniable zest for life.
We’re passionate about working with pets of all abilities, and sessions like Busta’s remind us that physical challenges only make their stories more precious. Disabilities don’t deter us — they inspire us to find creative ways to capture the unique soul of every furry friend.
Of course, we couldn’t forget Busta’s adorable companions! Millie, the 7-year-old French Bulldog, was everyone’s best friend and made sure she was always front and center. She thrived in the spotlight and loved every second of her time in front of the camera. Meanwhile, Timmy, also 7 at the time, was a little more reserved at first, taking his time to warm up — but once he did, his laid-back “old man” energy made for some endearing moments.
