Four horses. One portable studio. A late-evening setup outside the barn in The Gap (Brisbane)—complete with carrots, cordless lights, a surprise frog cameo, and portraits that made us (and the owners) a little teary. Here’s how we photographed Ivy (Blithe Spirit), Pepys, Poppy (Beersheba) and Wren (Fire of London) in early December, with comfort and calm leading every step.
